(Jan '01) UpLate.Org Records proudly presents its newest release, "The Cosmic Buzz."

The album features the trio of drummer Phil Hawkins, vibraphonist Gerry Grosz, and bassist Jim Kerwin. On six of the eleven tunes the core trio is joined by guitarist Bob Brumbeloe.

The music is a combination of classic jazz standards along with original compositions by Hawkins and Grosz. The entire album remains faithful to the straight-ahead jazz ethic and ideal. At the same time, the artists strive to push the boundaries of non-verbal communication through their instruments alone. There are moments of quiet introspection as well as uninhibited joy. As always, passion motivates the music on the entire album.
