PIANIST & VIBRAPHONIST: As leader of the Gerry Grosz Jazz Kitchen, and as a sideman for many top players, Gerry has performed in venues all across the Bay Area. He is in demand as one of the top mallet players in the area, and can be heard on recordings by Maria Muldaur, Elaine Lucia, Doug Beavers Rovira Jazz Orchestra, Maria Marquez, Phil Hawkins, Greg Murai, Cathi Walkup, Marimba Pacifica, Greg Lamboy, Mary Jensen, and Yehudit, among others. Gerry has been a dance accompanist since 1990 and currently works with the San Francisco Ballet, Berkeley Ballet Theater, and the Dance for PD
® program, which serves people with Parkinson's Disease. He has played for several Bay Area churches, and since 2016 has been the weekly Church Musician for San Rafael First United Methodist Church.
COMPOSER/SONGWRITER: Gerry is a prolific and well-regarded composer, writing in a diversity of styles. He has composed music for television, theater, dance, and short film. He was awarded Song of the Year by the West Coast Songwriters Association, and is currently serving as Manager of the San Francisco Chapter of the WCS.
